I admire the beauty of a rock's texture, their etchings and imperfections, and colors. I'm fascinated by the rock's formation coming by compressive force over extended time. Our evolution, individually and as a collective people, can be compared to that of the rock.
Rocks boast endurance, perseverance, adaptation, compromise. Strength and resiliency are known by contemplating the rock.
I have been creating with clay for over a decade, dreaming of clay even longer. Desirous of large, dramatic pieces of jewelry to wear with my stylings, inspired me to design jewels from this clay I have loved for so long. I call my designs pebblewear :: jewels made from hand and earth. Each piece of pebblewear is co-created using nature's mud and my intuition and energy as I sculpt and name the jewel creations to balance and serve the wearer. I hope you feel beauty-full and inspired by my wearable art.
